All you need to know about VALORANT!

The new Riot Games’ FPS game has created a lot of hype amongst gamers, especially the CSGO community, because of the similarities Valorant shares with games like CSGO and Overwatch. If you are someone looking to play Valorant, you must be having some questions, and we try to answer the questions which might arise in most of the cases and to make sure that you get all information you need to know about Valorant, through this article.

What is Valorant?

Valorant is a 5v5 FPS game, very much similar to CSGO, which is being developed by Riot Games. You can call it a mixture of Overwatch and CSGO. You can learn more in depth about the similarities and differences it has with CSGO here.

When is the game set to launch?

The game is set to launch in summer 2020, currently the game is in beta phase, the closed beta started from today, i.e 7th April 2020. You can get access to closed beta if you are living in USA, Canada, Europe, Russia or Turkey, and have linked your twitch account with the Riot Games account, access is subject to availability of passes which are dropped while watching Valorant streams on twitch. Can you run Valorant on your PC?

Most probably yes, unless and until you have a decade old PC. The game is designed to be accessible to as many players as possible, and given the requirements it should run on most of the PC rigs.

Is Valorant paid?

No, the game will be free to play, although some features like purchasing agents, and weapon skins will cost you some money.

Will there be community servers for Valorant?

No, Valorant will be a game designed exclusively to be played on official servers designated by Riot Games, so its highly unlikely that we would see community servers for the game, as we have in CSGO, but it’s likely that Valorant might compensate for the lack of community servers by offering multiple game modes, ability to create custom matches, etc.

Why is there so much hype for this game?

The hype for this game can be justified for its similarity to CSGO and Overwatch, and many professional streamers like shroud promising to go pro, even before the game being released. The hype is justified or not, will be known when the game is officially released, but the game is definitely worth a try.
